Robbert Meulemeester
Senior advisor & trainer
Robbert Meulemeester is a senior advisor and trainer specialising in integrated crisis management and business continuity management. As an Account Manager at PM, he leads client engagements from start to finish, covering crisis advisory, crisis communication, training and exercises, crisis management processes, serious games, and consultancy projects.
Robbert has a background in the financial sector, events, corporate communications, and digital marketing. He earned a professional bachelor’s degree in Communications Management and Public Relations. As a student entrepreneur, he provided marketing services to SMEs and organised parties and festivals in and around Bruges. He is also certified in Business Continuity Management by the Business Continuity Institute and in the NIS2 Directive by PECB.
Robbert is the author and co-author of several publications and a frequent speaker on crisis management and business continuity. He has delivered guest lectures and presentations for organisations and academic institutions including Antwerp Management School, the Business Continuity Institute, KU Leuven, UHasselt, Thomas More, the CIP Institute, and IAAPA.
He designs tailored learning pathways for crisis teams based on competency-based learning principles. A strong advocate of experiential learning, Robbert has developed several interactive serious games, including Zombie Game, Calamity Cards, Hectic Harmony (created in collaboration with CrisisCare.eu), and Seveco. These innovative games focus on operational crisis response, crisis management, crisis communication, and decision-making under pressure.
Robbert coordinates the Crisis Communications Network Europe (CCNE), a European network of crisis communication agencies that collaborates on international projects and initiatives. In 2021, he led PM’s membership application to IAAPA, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. He is also a member of Team D5, the Belgian federal support team for crisis communication.
Robbert is married to Bo and is the father of Theo and Ellie. Outside work, he runs road and trail ultramarathons, and enjoys amusement parks, American football, and motorsport.
