Stijn Pieters

Stijn Pieters is managing partner and senior crisis advisor at PM. He primarily focuses on acute crises, major accounts, networking both domestically and internationally, and development projects. With a wealth of experience as a consultant, Stijn brings a rich mix of knowledge and experiences in the field of integrated crisis management and crisis governance.
Stijn dedicates his professional life to empowering individuals, teams, organisations, and communities, and is committed to research and innovation. He is a sponsor of the Chair of Crisis Governance at the University of Antwerp. Stijn’s own academic career began with a degree in Multimedia Engineering. He also obtained a postgraduate degree in Disaster Management from Campus Vesta at the University of Antwerp.
Stijn is a key figure at the CIP Institute, where as co-founder and chairman, he promotes knowledge sharing and networking in the field of Complex Interactive Processes. He is also dedicated to the expansion of the Crisis Communications Network Europe (CCNE), coordinating the growth of its membership network. Additionally, Stijn is a founding member of TeamD5, the Belgian crisis communication support team.
Stijn was born and raised in Ghent, Belgium. His personal life is enriched by the company of his wife and two daughters.
