What are the most urgent risks facing European businesses in 2025? According to the latest Pulse Check conducted by the Crisis Communications Network Europe (CCNE), cyber crises have emerged as the most pressing threat. In this pan-European survey, 11 out of 18 leading crisis communications agencies identified cyberattacks as the top crisis risk for their clients – surpassing economic disruptions, political instability, and trade conflicts.

The full results were unveiled at the CCNE Annual Meeting in Warsaw, where crisis experts from across Europe came together to exchange experiences, align strategies, and strengthen cross-border cooperation. Hosted by Polish partner agency 24/7 Communications, the event underscored the growing importance of international readiness in an increasingly volatile risk landscape.

With a footprint in 18 countries, CCNE provides fast, coordinated crisis communication support wherever companies operate. This year’s Pulse Check offers not only a snapshot of the most common crisis scenarios seen across Europe but also a look at the evolving tools and practices agencies are using to support their clients.
