Jeroen Brugge is an independent consultant and advisor at PM for the non-profit sector.
After a career in the commercial world, Jeroen moves to the non-profit sector where he takes on various management positions with larger NGOs.
From 2000 to 2011, he is closely involved in the solid expansion of Fairtrade shops and Fair Trade in general and takes up the role of Marketing and Sales Director for the Oxam Fairtrade wholesales division. After a stopover at the leading Flemish nature association Natuurpunt, where the focus of the assignment is on strengthening the marketingteam, business development and drawing up the global marketing strategy, he makes the move to the INGO Plan International in 2012. Until 2018, Jeroen will take on various roles at Plan International as Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communication.
Trained as a historian but through continuous learning, masterclasses and specific courses (EHSAL, Vlerick …) he transformed into somebody who’s passionate about brands, marketing and communication. Pour a strong dose of social commitment over it all and the drive to connect apparently separate worlds becomes logical. To bridge the gap between social objectives on the one hand, and not being averse in using business dynamics and tools to achieve those objectives on the other. That fairly well grasps the core of his professional view on things.
As a consultant with many years of expertise, today he assists non-profit organizations by providing management advice, drawing fundraising-, marketing- and communication plans and above all, make them effective, agile and sustainable.
As an advisor at PM, Jeroen convinces large and small non-profit organizations of the value and increasing need for resilience, crisis preparation, training and communication. As Warren Buffet once said: “It takes 20 years to build a reputation, and only 5 minutes to ruin it.
