Wim Uyttenhove, PhD, is senior advisor at PM Risk-Crisis-Change and founder of The Binding Energy, an independent consultancy agency in strategic engineering and communication.
At PM, Wim is specialised in crisis management for organisations dealing with complex interactive processes (chemical, energy, transport, ICT, …). His no-nonsense view on crisis management originates from 15 years of experience in the European nuclear sector, in management, business development, licensing, training, safety analysis and inspections.
Wim is certified trainer and guest lecturer at different national and international universities, governmental institutions and private companies. He is author of several papers in peer reviewed journals.
Wim holds two degrees in mechanical and nuclear engineering (Ghent University, BE) and a PhD in nuclear engineering (Delft University, NL). He is member of the advisory board of the CIP (Complex Interactive Processes) Institute, and member of the Belgian Association of Radiation Protection. He is associated to Ghent University as a scientific collaborator.
